Version History
===============

v2.0 - Resized and moved Belmont Park slightly. Adjusted excludes for Megascenery. Added exclude file for modified GWBridge for Aerosoft's Manhattan. File is now compatible with Megascenery NY and Aerosoft Manhattan. Moved some cranes out of water around KEWR.
v1.2 - Added excludes to Shea Stadium, US Open Stadium, Belmont Park, Meadowlands Stadium,
and the World's Fair Tower for use with Megascenery.
v1.1 - Removed US Open Park. It was an awful representation, and was causing flashing with Megascenery.

Description
===========

The FSG 38m mesh (available at www.SurClaro.com or www.fsgenesis.net) messes up the GW bridge. The use of UT/USA, USA Roads, and Freeflow NE, and many other road and water packages makes evident that many bridges and objects around NYC are not properly placed or oriented. This addon is for use if you have FSG 38m mesh intalled and UT/USA, Freeflow NE, or USA Roads installed. It is also compatible with Aerosoft's Manhattan and Megascenery NY. It should also be compatible with any other roads package or package which CORRECTLY adjusts the coastlines and roads in the area.

I went to just fix the GW, and I ended up repositioning a whole bunch of stuff and adding a couple of things, too, within about 50 miles of NYC with respect to FS 9.1, FSG 38m Mesh (AVSIM), and UT/USA and Google Earth. I did not create any new scenery for this project. What I did was take as many of the Microsoft default NY special scenery models as I could find (except for the city buildings and Statue of Liberty) and repositioned and rescaled them where necessary. For the added items, I only reused Microsoft Default objects as appropriate. It has also been tested with Freeflow NE, Aerosoft's Manhattan, Megascenery NY, USA Roads, and default mesh and roads. The bridges in this package do not line up with the default roads, but they are correctly positioned with respect to real life.

Here's a list of repositioned stuff:
All (major, not autogen) NYC and Newark bridges from Bear Mountain in the north and south to about the Verrazanno.
Belmont Racing track
Shea Stadium
Meadowlands Stadium
World's Fair Tower
US Open Stadium

Also:
Removed US Open Park
Added Meadowlands Race track
Added a few bridges around Newark
Moved some cranes out of water around KEWR
Removed a few buildings and cranes in the water (there may be more)

Installation
============

1. Just place NYBRIDGES.BGL and NYB_GW.bgl in your Addon Scenery\scenery directory or any other scenery directory you want and you should be good to go.

2. If you have either the Bear Mountain Bridge (BRMTBR.bgl) or NYBridge (nybridge.bgl) scenery addons, make sure you disable them as they are no longer necessary.

3. If you are using Aerosoft's Manhattan and decide you would like to remove the GW Bridge in this file, just disable the NYB_GW.bgl file (i.e. rename it to NYB_GW.bg!).

4. If you are using either Aerosoft's Manhattan or Megascenery NY, the NYBridges scenery files should be in a scenery area with a higher priority than either of these scenery areas.

Other suggested packages:

- Soon to be released Statue of Liberty by Daniel Büchter with Liberty Island by Scott Gridley, compatible with Freeflow NE and UT/USA. Available at www.SurClaro.com and www.SurClaro.

- nyc_obj3.zip by Tatu Kantomaa. Available at www.SurClaro.com and www.SurClaro.

CREDITS
=======
NewBGLAnalyze.exe by Winfried Orthmann to decompile the default files to get the information about the default objects.

SceneGenX (www.airportforwindows.com) to import the resulting XML files and to exclude the original objects and then used a combination of SceneGenX, GoogleEarth, and UT/USA road network to move the objects and compiled the new bgl file.

And of course, thank you Microsoft for making the objects to begin with.

Special thanks to Scott Gridley for his sage advice and testing, and Mark Davies and Wayne Smith for testing fixes for use with Aerosoft Manhattan and Megascenery NY.
